Executive Biographies

Matthew Bayer, Chief Executive Officer:

Matt graduated from the University of Michigan in 1995. He has been in the sport and gaming card business since the early 1990's in almost every aspect of the industry. In December of 2000, he purchased Beckett Associates, and has been the CEO and owner since. Matt has guided the growth of Beckett Associates to a four fold increase in revenue since his purchase of the company in 2000. In November 2006, Matt acquired the largest Canadian gaming and sports card distribution company.  This acquisition further established Beckett Associates as the largest North American distribution, supply chain management, and in-store merchandising of trading/gaming cards for the retail industry.

Allan J. Lamos, Chief Financial Officer:

Allan began his tenure at M.J. Holding Company LLC in September 2000 as controller. He was then appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2002. His responsibilities lie in financial management, planning and business operations. His experience in finance spans over twenty-five years in the distribution and manufacturing industry. This includes serving as Vice President of Finance for both Orbit Design and Allengheny Steel & Brass Corporation. Mr. Lamos attended the University of Illinois.

Charlie Bareither , Chief Operating Officer:

Charlie graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Business Administration. He has over 35 years of accomplishments and experience with consumer products companies such as Johnson & Johnson and multiple smaller entrepreneurial start up and fast growth business ventures. Mr. Bareither's background as a General Manager with specific experience and responsibility for Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, and Customer Relations is vast and has made a significant contribution to the rapid growth at Beckett Associates. He is presently responsible for all Plant Operations, Field Operations, and Human Resources for Beckett Associates.

Lew Dewalt, Controller and Vice President, Portfolio Management: 

Lew joined Beckett Associates in May 2003, and has brought over 15 years of accounting and operational experience with him to our organization.  Prior to joining Beckett Associates, he worked for Ingersoll-Rand in various roles in manufacturing, assembly, distribution, and service & installation industries.  This included a Plant Controller position in Tecate, for the Schlage Lock Division where he provided leadership to ensure that domestic business plans were executed within the Mexican Operations to meet big box retailer requirements.  He also served as Business Unit Controller and Branch Manager for the Dor-O-Matic business with responsibilities that included managing branch locations throughout the USA and Canada in the distribution, service, and installation industries.  He is presently responsible for Portfolio Management, Supply Chain, IT, and Accounting.
